Whats the Best VST to manipulate Samples ???

Whats a great VST which I could use to create sample based beats in an MPC style???

Definition of an MPC style: Something real nice and asy where I can drag and drop wav/mp3/etc files in keys.

First of all you're looking for a VSTi not a vst. vst's are just for effects and processing. You want a vsti (virtual instrument) to do drum work by way of manipulating samples? I would suggest Reason 4.0 or FL studio Rewired with Logic if that's what you're using. That way you can do a whole lot more than what a virtual sampler will allow i.e composing. I actually use VSTi's and Reason 4.0 Rewired. The NNXT in reason can't be beat as far as software samplers go IMO. The way you can manipulate several chops at one time with this joint is bananas!

are there any similar vstis, but free
ive looked all over kvr, havent really found anything that does the job i want. which is to drag and drop samples to keys/pads, which can be triggered by midi
any ideas?

Like I said it in another thread....
Guru is based on the principle of a MPC....Sequencer+16 pads+internal filters+ease of use..

Maybe you already know about Guru, but I urge you to check it out...It changed my workflow for the best..
