there are tons and tons of records out there, it is impossible for any one person to have all the records in the world. and you can tell by the sample flippin that people put their own twists on samples to make them different and unique. so its not a matter of when the old soul has been used, but i think technology is improving, and with all the vsts i think it will be more computer based. hip hop isnt the same when some of us were growning up, but now kids are being brought up in a world where they think this crap on TV is tight, and in a nutshell hip hop will be gone and were gonna have some crunk pop shit, which the majority of it is, and our kids are gonna wonder why we listen to real "hip hop", thinkin the shit they are listening to is better, haha, just like we do with our parents

I'm just thinking about when one of my kids will listen to one of my old Busta Rhymes CD's and I'll say... "That's what I was listening when I was your age, son..."

you know what sucks the most about trends in Hip Hop Music,,,,,,Trends in Hip Hop Music!

well trends exist in basically every genre of modern music, it may be less obvious to some people but the hardcore fans of say Rock/metal are going through the same issues that we are. i think with trends the music overall progresses and its all due to originality and setting new boundaries, id shudder to think what rap would be like otherwise.

with that in mind, im set to start my own trend in hiphop...cant reveal it just yet...

You guys are way off. This is the LAST trend in Hip Hop. Armegeddon is upon us. Hip hop's popularity is itself a sign of the apocalypse. Sike. In my crystal ball I see future producers 1/128th notes hihats. That'll be ill. Really what'll happen is the chasm between corporate and indy will grow. The indy scene will be progressive or retro while the mainstream will do whatever Lyor Cohen Jr. tells them to do in order to be rich and famous.

this is kinda unrelated to the future of hip hop, but as a sampler im a fan of many types of different music, u think new music will ever be created that rivals that feeling you get when listening to some old classic rock or soul? that's what i would love to have happen
