It could be an interference with the ground wire from your needles. Something similar happened to me before.

That's crazy if that's happened, through a tiny little turntable needle. I'll try unplugging the turntable and see if I still pick anything up.

Its not that crazy tho cuz back when I had a cheaper turntable and needle, i could actually pick up my own talking in the background while I recorded what was playing to my computer if I was too loud.

The needle acts as a miniature microphone and picks vibrations and sounds around it, at least if its cheap like the one I used to have.

Once I got a better table and needle the problem was resolved.

Your picking up the radio thru your pc somehow...
This happens with hardware when wires get crossed up sometimes, I have never heard of this happening when a program on the pc is open unless there is something connected to your soundcard that is unsheilded.
Whats weirder is that this is a southern baptist radio show , sounds like an am station, and your in England.
Not sure how thats happening,, but God sent you a message. lol.

We used to get the tv and radio all the time in our gear.
