I've got Reaper up, and I could hear voices in the background when I was playing the vinyl, so I pressed stop on the turntable and can still hear the voices. I turned the master all the way up in Reaper and turned the volume of the track all the way up. It's someone talking about Jesus.

Nah I've had it for a couple weeks now, and it just started happening today. My session was empty, had 1 blank track up that was armed to record.

I better not fucking die tonight, it's payday tomorrow.

Im wondering if maybe the station got picked up somehow through interference or something and recorded into your session???

Your saying there was nothing visibly recorded in the session at all yet tho and it played this shit back?

Hahaha, nah, I ain't religious for shit. I closed EVERYTHING that I had up when it was happening and only had Reaper up. Brand new session, NOTHING AT ALL could have been possibly recorded. Don't forget I'm in the UK too, and that preacher dude is American so it would be a hell of an interference to pick up a US radio show.

I hope it's something like that haha. I posted a topic about it on the Reaper forums so I'll see if anyone else has had the problem. I had the exact same thought about them hiding a tag in the background until you buy it, but it's just strange this has only started to happen today.

anyway, when you arm a track to record, you are enabling live monitoring, so it will pick up and play back any microphone, turntable, line in, etc that you have hooked up to the channel.

its possible that there was a religious program on the tv or radio or something and you were picking it up through the needle on your turntable.

That's crazy if that's happened, through a tiny little turntable needle. I'll try unplugging the turntable and see if I still pick anything up.

I'm like 99.99999% sure that its radio or something. Back in Queens I had one of those old sound systems from the early 90's (5 channel amp, receiver, tape deck, EQ, debut CD player, you get the point) with BIG ass 3-way speakers and I guess from the amount of watts and old school shitty wiring it picked up very audible interference from Disney radio and i'd hear the fuckin cha cha slide song like once a week and all these kid songs if I had nothing playing at the moment and with the volume up

- It seems to have been recording a radio program as the person mentions it at the start, maybe it's an issue with your turntable not being fully grounded and the location in the room for it to have any extra interferants. Still picking it up?
