Hey,

My favorite speed is 106 for hip hop, 120 for the faster stuff, 130 for house, 140 for techno, 165 for hardcore.

Oh, and 74.561 for r&b.

Tempo is DEFINENTLY based on what you use... I use fruity loops, and just about all of my beats are in the 90-95 range. Other programs and machines are different from one another.

77-100bpm.... anything slower than 77 is so boring and slow for me to produce.... anything over.... makes feel like techno..

Yeah, Knocl Out banged it out, im a fruityloops head myself so everything i hit is between 85 and 100, sometimes 80, it depends on how yechnical and how official your setup, cuz even though the the fruityloops tempo remains constant it u beat match it it might be a different tempo, i just use fruityloops tempos to adjust my samples and to make em fit into the bars correctly.CiTY

It kind depends on what signiture im in first, whether it be 1/16, 1/16T---which iz usaully a rarity, or 1/8T.......
But when im in 1/8T.......Its usaully from 90 - 120.

If its 1/16...my newer preference - than its usally at 80 - 106

Fila,

Double-click on the tempo box on the transport bar and enter the new tempo. Make sure that the Master button has been disabled.

Take care,

Nick

i try to vary it as much as i can. anywhere from 60 - 120 but it depends how many pads per bar on the redrum

170... which is actually 85 bpm... but having it at 170 lets me fool around with the kick, snare, hi hat combo.... i'm using FL Studio and Reason 2.5 and i produce from a rapper's perspective having been a rapper myself...

i've noticed that 90- 95 tempos producer generic kick combos.. and theres a limit of how long a break can be if you put your bpm too slow... therefore its best to pump up the tempo in order for you to add goodies to fill the gaps...

I really don't have a set tempo range that I use. I just get on my keyboard and play and whatever tempo it happens to be is the tempo of that beat.
