What else does it need?

Currently i'm trying to purchase a second hand mpc. When i eventually get one, apart from upgrading from 2mb to 32mb what else do i need for it?

I was thinking perhaps a ZIP drive or CD drive? Are there any more essentials i need like an effects unit or something? And how much will all the extras set me back?

This aint answering your question (sorry), but have you been lookin on ebay for an MPC? I saw a 2000XL(brand new) go for $800. Whole ----load of other stuff too.

youll want to upgrade to 32mb and get a zip drive.. or you can get a cd drive and a hard drive.when i got mine i got the zip upgrade the memory the got a zip for my pc so i can move files and stuff back and fourth...i suggest getting the zip and then a hard drive later on if you really want. the effects isnt that great to me if you make techno or ambient,trance or sumpn you might want it but its over rated in my book.Hope that helps..

P.S. upgrade to 32mb immediately it become difficuly quick with only 2 megs to work with.

Thanks for the advice, i live in the UK so bidding on the american ebay is pretty useless. I think i've got a better chance in the ads sections of music magazines
