I was chopping it up with my man and he said something like "the Gangstarr Foundation was a solid unit" and I was like "huh?" Trust, I loved Guru and there's no doubt that Jeru was a beast but to me the ONLY thing dope about the Group Home was Primo's beats and Dap's voice and I never really liked Shug and he was like "yo...Shug is ill!" and I was like "huh?!?!?" I give Shug a 2 on a GREAT day (I rate mc's on the 5 mic system 5= Incredible, 4= great, 3= good, 2= aiight and 1= wack) but what do ya'll think of Big Shug?

On Shug's "Who's Hard" CD it came with a bonus DVD with footage of Primo making beats for the album as well as scratching some choruses for it, Shug talking about growing up in Boston and some DOPE footage of him and Guru performing together:

I never liked Shug, and more recently, I heard him on an interview somewhere, and he sounds like a douche, but hey, I could be wrong. Just riding the Gang Starr coat tails like everyone else if you ask me.

Ive never been that much of a Big Shug fan myself. No hate towards the guy but I always felt like - what little success he had, was more in HIS head - than everybody else's. I mean he never really impressed me with his rap game. I guess some people liked his style and that's cool but he just lacked that special something that would separate him from the average street rapper imo.

Only verse I liked was his verse on "The Militia" Other than that....horrible.....with dope beats...

He was one of the founding members of Gangstarr....

But he still kinda sucks.....
