what are the best ways to quit smokin?

i wanna quit smoking ciggarettes not weed just to get things straight. i gotta go to re-hab nov 6 and i was thinking about quiting after that. any suggestions! Have any of yall stopped. techniques, suggestions, pills, ? ???????????

and another thing, if i was to quit smoking squares, and was to smoke blunts after that you think i would crave cigs more. should i stay away from blunts and smoke bowls and joints?

i need help, if i dont quit im going to be fucked up in a bad way!!!

i cant rly give advice cos im still smoking ;p but i once quit for 6 months, and wot i worked out is its all in the mind, u just gotta be stubborn
tellin urself "just 1 cigarette won't hurt" never works cos 1 leads to another , always

maybe make a bet with a friend, if u smoke again u gotta pay them 500 dollars somethin like that might help motivate u

el, I would say gradually cut down at first and put off that morning smoke as long as you can. When you find yourself getting that cigarette rush, like you haven't smoked one in a while, thats your sign to quit right then.

the biggest thing you could do is start using your lungs in jogging 1mile/4 days a week (at first).

You will notice an increase in energy and positiveness. everytime you smoke you will feel the negative effects.. but, your issue with this plan is you still smoke herbals. so this most likely wont work for you. Cardio runs support health but any damage to the lungs takes this benifit away.

thing is, bad habits support bad habits and vice verse... stressin Vice here


if you are familiar with smoking ciggs and weed then you are in a very difficult position. you have to take away one and leave the other. I still suggest you start running either way

you have to replace addictions. alcohol annomous folks replace drinking with a community of support. what you want to do requires pure willpower. this is very tricky and risky.

my advice would be to live healthy all the way around, replacing unhealthy habits with biologically healthy habits will make you better at everything. i guess its a matter of your determination to give your self happiness in the long run while incuring the transition on faith that it will be better for you, and will be your ultimate salvation.

I would quit somking cigs, have one spliff after dinner every night, make sure it's on some Bambu's, no blunts, those blunts have you inhalin cigar tobacco, tons of nicotine, no good.
From that point it's kind of tough, I know people in there 40s and 50s that smoke trees every day. You gotta have lots of things going on to keep your mind off of trees. Too much free time is a dangerous thing, I would recommend reading a lot, playing music, have some good food, get some good lovin, just real things to get your brain out of the "let me smoke a spliff as a reward" mode...

Lock yourself in a room for bout a month.

lobelia leaf has a compound in it called lobeline that mimics nicotine...in fact, it's the same compound used in stop smoking losenges.
mullein leaf is also used as an alternative to tobacco and actually cleans out your lungs (oils absorb debris and make you cough it out).
you can smoke it or brew it in a tea. maybe sprinkle some in your greenery...or make a cup of tea when you get a craving.

Lot's of good advice there. I found that the main thing is that you want to do it and don't give up. If you relapse and have one don't just go back to it. You'll find, as I did, that if you stay off it long enough just smelling it makes you sick. I stayed off for about a year and had one which made me feel so fucking sick that I haven't been tempted to have another one since.

Don't need to stop with the ganja man that's not poison that's the medicine!
