To whom it may concern: you are more than welcome to state your opinions, but you should think about the tone of which you do so.
The aim of this thread is simply to have a friendly discussion/debate about the various issues of war, terrorism etc.
We don't all have to agree, or even respect each other's opinions, but it would be wise to respect each other as people and talk to each other like you would want others to speak to you.

Cold and Wings, if you dudes ever wanted to write a book! I mean, GOD DAMN!! U got some long ass posts where ever I go. Maybe instead of rambling so much, you should get to your point quicker. You'll have some long ass response to this post but I'll be well gone, I dont have the patience for this ish, feed it to the birds.

Cold, you gloat. Its not a very good personal trait to have. Of course anyone would be a little hot headed if they were involved in the collapse of the two towers, but they need to cool down before they start f%*king sh%t up.

Wings, do you know Arial Sharon? And I mean know him as a person? So what if your Israeli. I'm an Australian, I could have shook Jonh Howard's hand (our Prime Minister) and said G'day but it doesn't mean I know him. Fat chance of that! I doubt you know much of what he's doing. You aint his mama, he aint got to tell you shit, or any other soldier.
Of course its Israel's land, YOUR israeli!
Of course, someone who was brought up in Chicago is going to root for the Chicago Bulls!
Do you get my point?

I cant type fast enough to keep up with my thoughts, so I won't even bother with this ish. I'm out.

Kramit, how are you? is everything ok @ home? goodie, NOW YOU MAY CALM DOWN A BIT!
attacking fellow members is not exactly a good way to win points ya know.

i do not know sharon personally (DUH!), but i'm well familiar with (israeli) politics. thus, i HUMBLY allow myself to express my HUMBLE opinion. is there anything wrong with that?

if i say something, i have the ground to say that; i speak the truth, from a neutral point of view.
i ain't his mama, and he certainly ain't got to tell me jack shit, but i can judge what he does, can't i?
that's what democracy is all about, in case you have forgotten

Good Day,
Wings

OH YES - Kramit, dude, imagine what would have happened if we had lost our patience... :clown:

I'm cool with Wings, he's not too bad at clearing things up, but it seems like ever modo except of course fade or God has gotten VERY upset at some posts... I think I said fuckn seizure in another thread...

Don't you people come from bad areas? or is this fresh prince type hip hop (no offense to big willie, but he isn't hard at all)

You kinda act like you were raised with lots of love, nourishment, and strong moral values based on social views of the government? Not that that's bad or anything, but some of us have mental issues lol!

I don't know, just sound kinda Mr. Rogers neighborhood to me is all... think someone can clear this up?

jus wonderin...

1. God, although an integral part of this community, is not (yet) a mod.
you can know who's a mod by looking at their title.

2. none of us, mods, got upset in the full sense of the word.

3. i come from a quite bad area (although it's nothing compared to the US). i have been raised with plenty of love + have always had everything i needed at my fingertips. yet, i fully understand where some of you are coming from. YES I DO, believe it or not!
even if you come from a moderately poor background\environment, you should strive and aim towards normalcy. complaining how poor your life is will not get you there!
hard work and proper philosophy of living WILL. eventually, it's all about your outlook on life.
it's just like vast aire says on the def jux documentary.

Best Regards,
Wings

d00d, I'm not pulln your chain, lol

I wasn't exactly raised in tha projects, but I've seen my share of poverty and am kinda there now. No I'm not whinin, just pullin myself out of the hole I've dug for myself ... I play what I'm dealt and actually own a business, it just needs to move, and this rap industry thing might pan out if I play those aces I have in my hand... never know

I live my life and teach my kids tha best I can and that's it, but I will never tell them that the war on terrorism was a good thing or even that it had validity, that would be a lie. sorry, but you can't catch what ya can't see, right?

Nah not at all, express away, just be ready to have people reply to that ish, this IS a forum!
I already lost my patience, (DUH!). I WONT CALM DOWN EITHER, this is how I express my opinion. Opinions have many tones, other wise they wouldn't be true opinions. When I gotta say something, I gotta say it. Thats all that is.

Yeh everythings just cool down here on my side, especially at home, I'm just an insecure, bitter m%*tha f%cka, can't you tell? I dont give a sh%t about points or posts, second post in a month.

Stop saying that you talk the truth. About 80% of the ish you speak sounds like its out of an encyclopedia or worse, off the inernet. The other ish you claim is your opinion, but you say its the truth, your arguments are too one-sided, even though you try to cover many bases. The rest sounds like its what the army fed to you, what they want you to say.

You can't just clear up sh%t. You can't just clear up issues like these that have so much speculation, thats why they've gone on this long, (DUH!). If it was that easy we'd all be hippies right about now. And f%*k that!!

Kramit.

haha, okay. you've asked for it. if you have problems expressing your opinion like an educated human being, SHUT THE **** UP. you think you're all that? we don't wanna hear your opinions, unless you learn how to control yourself. consider this post as an official warning.

now - there is nothing wrong with basing your knowledge on acadamic sources - vice versa.
if you're an illiterate guy, that's your problem mister. my arguments are not one sided, and what i say is CERTAINLY not what the army has fed me with. you have no idea whatsoever.
shut your mouth if you have nothing better to say. if you were smarter (but that's already lost), you would have known that my opinions are amid the most humane ones you'll find. that's absolutely not what the majority of israelis think right now. i ain't trying to clear jack shit. all i'm trying to do is support this intelllectual deliberation. obviously, you can't do that. so once again - either shut up, or deliberate intelligently.

Good Day,
Wings

Kramit, opinions are just that, opinions. Tone isn't a part of your opinion, but merely emphazises how you feel about your opinion and how you want people to perceive your opinion, which in your instance comes across as somebody who hasn't given much thought to what he is actually writing and who is only out to try and irritate people.

I can't be bothered with you. Keep it up and we'll most likely part ways soon...

Now let's get back on topic or leave the thread.

Let's try to get back on point with this thread if anybody is interested. This thread is not about Wings! This is ABOUT US, our world and how we choose to handle this war and how can we possibly prevent war in the future. We do have the power to change things, let's not attack anybody in the illmuzik family because of their views or whatever you feel you don't like, let's have constructive debates and not get personal with it! Knowledge is power.

Does anybody have any family over in the war in Iraq right now? If so how do they feel about being over there? What is the mood? I'm interested because I don't know anyone directly who's over there.

Chew on this:

love and nurturing? far from it.... i had a VERY effed up upbringing. i wasn never taught anything about values or morals. drug addicts and child abusers genrally dont teach their kids those things. niether do most foster parents.

i have a friend who just returned. i havent had a chance to talk to him about it really, since he is stationed in georgia right now.

i am going to give my thoughts to the original questions;

Is there anything that we can do to help stop the war now?
Do you think it should be stopped?
Do you believe because Saddam Hussein was captured that we have won the war?
What about Osama Bin Laden, will capturing him put an end to terrorism?
Is the actions of the US Government going to war making it unsafe for american citizens to travel aboard to certain countrys?
What's next, for us as a country, how safe can we really be with so many unknown threats?
And last but not least what is homeland security really doing to protect us?

i doubt we can do anything to stop it: it will only take different forms from here on out.
i would love for it to be stopped, however that doesnt look likely. if bush gets ousted this year, which looks likely, there is a chance then. it appears bush has much in the way of personal interests in Iraq, so i doubt he will cease completely. Terrorism is another matter entirely.
the war wasnt a "win or lose" for america. the real question is, did Iraq "win" because of it? the short answer is, yes, it IS a good thing that saddam and some of his loyalists have been removed. the long of it, howver, is that we will not know how they will benefit until the U.S has withdrawn (should be July, but now it looks like it may be longer with the increased fighting.).
There was terrorism before bin laden, there will be terrorism after. it is the right thing to apprehend him, however. i believe we need an entirely new gameplan to fight terrorism. it will come, no matter what we do... so we need to be proactive. i dont knwo everything about this war so i cant really say what we should do definitively.
the participation of each nation in the war has heightened the danger of all the countries involved; their citizens are certainly in more danger when traveling abroad.
we will never be "safe".. the major metropolitan areas, mass gatherings of people, and vital government buildings are going to be the greatest targets, of course. we also have alot of problems here in the states, with our own acts of terrorism..... gang activity, rapists, child abductors, students killing each other, corrupt police officers, local and national government corruption, militant and racially motivated groups of all kinds, i mean the list goes on. there are so many threats today besides terrorism. we will never be "safe"...
i dont know what homeland security is doing, or how it affects me personally. i believe it should be in place, however. this does also cause its own problems (profiling, for one..)so its tough to gauge..... all these alerts are good if you are among the people on duty in the military/police/medical fields etc., but for the public at large, i am not sure how usefull they are. the public doesnt get the details of the situation, and its likely alot of these officials arent getting it either. what does homeland security do, exactly?

I have a grand cousin in the danish military who serves there, in Basra. As far as i know, he's okay with it and the mood is not that bad. But he has also served many times in Yugoslavia (where my half brother is now), so he's used to it all.
Also, the danish camp works together with the british camp, and as you may have noticed, they have not had as many wounded/killed. I think denmark has had one killed so far in Iraq, and 2 in afghanistan, but the 2 in afghanistan were due to a bomb explosion set off by the germans they worked with.
I think it depends on the region and which military. First, USA is more hated down there, so that's who they go after, and secondly, I think the casual way of the danes down there, also makes the Iraqis accept them better.
At the moment, the Shia muslims, especially in Falluja, have promised to end all american existence (and other occupying forces) if they do not leave Iraq and free a short list of prisoners that the forces have taken.
Anyway, most of the occupying forces are supposed to leave within a few months, though start to doubt that the US will leave as promised as there are now talks of sending more troops down there.

Speaking a little on what Truth mentions, the world hase certainly not gained much from the war in Iraq, apart from maybe oil and economic issues. Instead, as Truth speaks about, terrorism has only increased, and the western world has become even more dangerous. Every country in Europe is now taking measure to increase security, trying to keep large gatherings at a minimum, giving out brochures at subway stations etc etc.

Until we stop interfering with the middle east, we'll never see an end. This also means the security the US provides Israel with e.g. bullions of dollars and weapons. Especially the weapons, as palestinians also blame USA when Israeli's e.g. bombs a house and the missile reads "USA".'
On the other hand, if we do not interfere, most of the arabic countries will work on destroying Israel, which we then are obliged to help out because of NATO and the UN. However, we don't seem to care about the wars in Africa, so why is Israel more important? Also, if they are allowed to (I don't know if there are rules regarding this), they may increase the prices on oil to the west drasticly.
Question is, what weighs the most?

I'd just like to apologise for blasting anyone in my recent posts, especially Wings. By the way this hasn't come from reading your responses, I'm not caving in like a bitch, its just that I know I can be a right cunt when it comes to discussing these particular topics. I'm a right cunt, full stop. I was really tired when I wrote that ish and I didn't have a very good day. It was not reason though to take it out on you dudes.

I usually avoid getting involved in these kinds of discussions because there is way too much speculation. Its like talking about religion, there's way too much unknown.

I'm certainly not illiterate. I assume you considered me illiterate in terms of me not being able to read and to then be able to establish some judgements and opinions. But I can and I do. I haven't really expressed any mature and educated opinions because, to be honest, it never seems to make a difference, (not that opinions are meant to make difference anyway) ,that was never my aim.
And along with everyone else now, I agree I should have just ignored this thread.

I'm not happy with the impression I've put across to you guys and everyone else on Illmuzik who may have read my posts. I'm not a bad person, just very careless sometimes. The impression I put across is not like me at all. For what ever its worth, I'm sorry for being an inconsiderate prick.

now this is more like it; that's what i'm talking about! apology has been taken

you can be right or wrong. but guess what - it does not matter as long as you express yourself politely and tactfully.

and by the way, having such a loaded discussion can be very healthy (now and then).

in the long run, ultimately, opinions should (and sometimes even do) make a difference. what would have happened if everybody had said "it never seems to make a difference". HAVOC AND CHAOS is the answer i believe.

A new page has been opened; THE PAST HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN  .

Have A nice day,
Wings
