dont let people discourage you. Participle in the political process. Even if my vote didn’t matter (which it does by the way). I would still do it out of respect for all the people who came before me who had to fight for that right.

My grandfather (fathers side)- civil rights activist in the 1950’s and sixties in Florida(before it was cool). Numerous death threats for voter registration.
Here is his info http://www.nelson.usf.edu/mclin/photo.2.minnis.html

My grandfather (mothers side)-born in 1910 in Alabama came home from WWII and was violently prevented from registering. Wasn’t able to vote until the late 60's

My mother- active black panther in the late 60’s and early 70’s was blackballed from teaching because she headed numerous voter registration drives for blacks in Florida(Pinellas county). Arrested twice for it

My father- active civil rights participant was refused a law scholarship to DUKE university because of his activities (protesting & voter registration drives etc)

The list goes on there are countless untold stories….

So will all do respect to the people who say your vote doesn’t count ,BULL SHIT!!!!
Your disrepecting all the people who had to earn that right, so u could throw it away

How much money or what did P.DIDDY gain from this "VOTE OR DIE" campaign?

I think he made some money, and it kept his name in the public's eye!

i thought the die part was saying if u dont vote kerry, bush will be the death of a nation.....iono, thats just what i got out of it......i cant say its the dumbest shit ever because in the communities people dont really care to vote and i could understand their reasons but they still need to get out their because it's their right. the vote or die campaign was positive to me, we need more things like that.....it could have been more professional or better organized but it was the 1st time......

Nah man, that aint the 1st time... there was "Rock the Vote" and all this other MTV propaganda shit.

P Diddys message wasnt inspiring to me. It didnt tell me to educate. He was just trying to get some shine and try to be all revolutionary and shit, and he totally failed. Youth voter turnout was pathetic.

I realize his intent of the message "vote or die" was because Bush will be the death of the nation, as you stated in your reply. However, It's retarded to me to just tell the young community to just go and vote, without telling them how important it is to educate yourself and make a wise political decision. I mean, i guess its just me, but I felt his approach and catch phrase was just fucking ridiculous.

Id Have To Agree. Hip Hop Looked Foolish This Election. All Because Certain Figure Heads Decided To Open Their Rich- Would- Be- Republican- If- I- Wasnt- Supposed- To- Be- Democrat- In- My- Fans'- Eyes- Asses. Eminem Looks Like A Dick. P Diddy Looks Like A Dick. Jadakiss Looks Like A Dick. Vote And Cry Bishes. Bush Ate Em Up. Made Hip Hop Look Like Chumps. P Diddy Dont Speak For Me. They Shoulda Put Me Up There. I Would Told Them, "i Want A President Who Will Finish What He Starts. So Vote Bush."

Nuff Said.

That joint was ji positive and he didn't tell you who to vote for, they gave opinions from kerry and Bush, I think young people neeed to wake up and realize these decisions Bush and dem will make in the next four years will affect you guys later on, participate in your local elections and all, so yeah I think he made a buck and he did something positive, 2 thumbs up for a black man doing the damn thang, fuck the haters!!
