ive heard one of his albums on Polydor records. reminds of my Juno 6, and when my crew had a "beat box" and an "echo chamber." crazy stuff. to think all the stuff he has can be had for a few hundred bucks in a box of cds...lol.

ehm, not entirely since Jarre made a lot of equipement for himself, from dynamics to his round synth. Also some of the synths he has are rareties on which you can bet cost close to a studio...if it comes close to the digital realm....I assume you heard Jarre's recordings and I am registed to a dutch synthforum which is quite resourcefull and full of remake activities like kraftwerk, jarre etc with some really dope results but those with the modulars come closest to the original warm sound of those vintage modulars and synths. I bet Jarre is in the digital realm by now but in terms of recording(pro tools) as I dont think you'd replace an EMS 2000 for the orange vocoder, or the cs-80 for the M version, Synthi aks etc

Here you can see Jarre's equipment list used on the albums through the years.

Jarre vs Herbie Hancock :

Who has more synths on stage ? --> Jarre
Who's making best funk --> Herbie

Some1 ever sampled Jarre ???

I have a couple of his records, never seen him perform before. Always though some of the weirder stuff he does is cool. Its cool how he turned it into a performance art too.

its funny how hes constantly turning knobs and adjusting things... does it seriously require that many little changes?
