I do some paid video work, some vj work, some local tv network stuff tho. Anybody know about kino here? (www.kino00.com) I did that to. I've done some animated short movie, stop motion, carton, experimental video, fiction. Check my website for sample of my work. I did alot af music for other director tho, that's what I'm after really.

I use Final Cut pro and Premier pro tho. IStopmotion for stop motion. Arkaos and Grid for live VJing. Webcams, DV camera, DVcam Camera.... A pretty boost up PC, a PC with a matrox editing card in it, my own powerbook g4...

Yep I prefer Final cut; it is easier to manipulate the video (cropping and changing size). I don't like the cheap ass realtime render of Premier pro, I prefer the "always" rendering state of final cut. But all in all, it's pretty much the same stuff. At first sight, it's hard to view the difference between final cut pro 4 and premier pro 1.5, even the windows layout are the same... So basicly, I work with final cut when I'm on my computer and on a PC, I work with premier pro. I didn't worked with the regular version of premier (6.5) tho.

Not anymore, with the advent of the Adobe CS bundle and Final Cut Pro, the playing field has been leveled. I teach Media Technology, which in Texas means audio and video production. We run both of the software that I just mentioned and we have one older media100 system. Avid express is nice but not any better than Final cut or Premiere pro. Just like the software topics for audio production, it has become user preference with relation to video editing.

If you like Premiere 6.5 then you'll love Pro. They made A quantum leap. To me I rank the software as such Final Cut, Avid Express, Premiere Pro, However that is just preference. They can all do the same things. I teach alot of Premiere and Final cut because it is cheaper. Premiere is probably the easiest to use, especiallay if you know photshop which everyone does.
