Very Basic Beat Juggling with dacalion

Ok I was bored and wanted to make a video. This is me doing some very simple beat juggling. I'll get into the more complicated stuff later. Basically I'm demonstrating some simple side to side scratching and mixing techniques. With all the talk of copping Traktor, I thought I'd show you guys how simple it is on CD Decks. Enjoy!

Im glad you made that point because I felt the same way BUT it wasn't that bad and remember...going from vimyl to CD Decks is a helluva lot easier than going from anything to 4" pads like on Traktor. Just to give you an idea, scratching on 7" CD Decks is equivalent to scratching on vinyl but instead of having a 12" record, you would have a 45 but WITHOUT having to compensate for the speed difference of 33 to 45.

@DOX, CD Decks are getting cheaper by the minute, but they are sooo much better these days. NuMark has a NDX series that you can stick thumbdrives in (never needing CD's) and play for hours for under $200.

Seems like you had some preprogramed spots for the "tape" on the record to jump to? SO it wasnt just a matter of knowing wear it is, the deck will find it for you ?

Thats $200 thing Ima have to look into.
I have cdjs but they are just not that fun to touch to me.. So they get dusted.

nope, no preprogrammed spots, thats just good DJ'ing, I wasn't even using headphones. I use the marker in the center of the platter to catch my spots. Takes a little practice but once you get it, it becomes second nature.

I think Sweetwater has them too.

EDIT, when you pause the beginning of the song it creates a cue point automatically.

Are you referring to the platters not turning when my hand isn't moving them?
