using vst's in multiple apps

i had a vst i loaded and it automatically installed itself to my steinberg folder. which is cool cause i use nuendo. but.... i also use acid and the vst doesnt workin that app. whats the deal? do i need to have the vst root in mutiple places?

U need to go in Acid and have it point to the same exact folder. U really need to have a centralized folder and have every program that you use point to that one vst folder.

I don't really use vst's in Acid...but u may have to have the DX eqiv of that plugin as well. So if when you installed the plugin and it asked if you wanted to install RTAS, VST and DX and you didn't chose DX, plug may not work.
