Does anybody do this? I'm trying to, it's compatible but I'm running into some problems.

1) does anyone load mutiple instances of sampletank into their sequencer?

2) when I play a key in the sampletank interface, the key wont play in FL's chanel window

I use it too manji, and it seems like your problem is the sample tank is not loaded by vst into fl studio, in order to help you out further, i need to be around my home computer - so i'll be back later to edit this post and take you though it step by step. do you have the full or the demo?

Yo Krzy, Yeah, when I open up my plugins, sampletank is listed under DXi. Do I re-install it? At first I thought nothing of it, but now I gotta fix this shit. thanks for the help

Alright, sorry it took me so long, but you should have the option of installing three version, stand alone, dxi and vst. What you're looking for is the Vst - this i think is the most compatible with fl studio. After installing the files, they should go to program files>steinberg plugins.
Now open fl studio and go to options and then folder settings.
look carefully for extra plugin directory - and click the folder button and input the folder which you installed the sample tank, by default it should be c>program files>steinberg plugins.
Now close and go to channels>add one> more and you should a list of plugins, now look at the bottom for a small button that searches for new plugins, when you click on it, its gonna say fast scan (recommended)
click on it and it'll search the folder that put in earlier for extra plugins. If all is well you should see sample tank come up in red writing - just check the box to the left of it. This makes sample tank a channel that fl can control. To use it, just add it like you would the dx10 or pluck plugin, as many times as you want. But bare in mind you gotta register and downlaod sounds for it - this i am convinced you can figure out.

I already know how to use plugins, I'm wondering what's the best way to use it in FL. Lets say I wanna use an aucoustic guitar in one melody, then have a grang piano in the other, is their a way I can do that?
lets say:

1) I have channel 1 open, w/ my acoustic guitar what I wanna do then is

2) go to channel 2 and use a grand piano in the beat.

The problem is when I load a folder w/ pianos in it, I cant load a folder w/ guitars in it without it unloading my piano sounds. Is their anyway of doing that?

and BTW

When I first installed it, It only asked if I wanted to install it as a VSTi or RTAS. It had both checked so I just clicked next or whatever.

I already have my sampletank's registration and all that done, I also know how to refresh my plugins, Ive downloaded freware before.

Good look on the advice G. I'm @ school right now so I'll have to look over what you told me when I get home.

Yeah I was pretty sure you knew how to install it cuz its easy, but it saves me and you the just in case you didn't trouble thats all. I went ahead and tested it, the way I installed it above as Vst - I was able to load Sample Tank several times, but I got an error any time i tried to load them on the same pattern- so switch to a new pattern for new instances of Sample Tank. Then after opening the amount you need you can then layer them on each pattern....Hope I didn't confuse you worse.

aiight, the problem is when I load SPtank up, the instrument folder I last used loads back up w/ it. When I load it up again, the same instruments I last used load up, and I'm not trying to layer my sounds though. (Layering your sounds means you combine 2 sounds to make 1 right? Like layering drums.)
