USB Cable vs MIDI Cable and all this about power.

Yo, so I'm using miditech midistart-5 keyboard which is cool, I like it etc. I can plug it to my PC by 2 ways - by USB (which is how it is now) or by MIDI Cable. Now, when I'm connecting it with USB its powered by it, but if I would connect it by MIDI to my Tascam US-122l Mk II USB card, will I have to find a matching AC or will it be powered by this MIDI cable? Lemme know.
