I've been told, and via a live show on MTV I've been confirmed, that 50 Cent is not any good on stage. For that same reason I wouldn't waste my money on very expensive tickets to see his show. Also, the concert arena is most likely goig to be filled with annoying pop girls and they ugly bodybuilding boyfriends in tight denims... ;)

Can anyone see the sense in the fact that he's doing shows all over Europe but not in blocks. eg. he's ending on Manchester (UK), a week earlier he's in Birmingham (UK) but between then he's heading back out into France and Switzerland, etc. Seems a lil pointless..why not do all the UK in a block, all of Germany in a block, etc. Ah well, only reason I'd consider going to see his concert is if he's got some dope back up acts...

The scheduling of the artist is called "routing." Thus, from 50's tour, the routing on the tour is awful. Yes, following a "block" schedule as you state would be better. But here's how it works:

Promoters in Europe make an offer for an artist, in this case it's 50 Cent. So, let's say a promoter says he will promote 50 Cent for 1,000,000 Euro in Germany. This is told by the promoter to the artist's agent, or manager (it depends). Anyway, in 50 Cent's case, if the manager wants 50 Cent to have a European tour, he tells 50's agent to book a tour in a specified time frame. Then, 50's agent calls up the promoters he works with, and sees what offers come back to him from the local or national promoters on venue availability, expenses and of course, the money offers. The money offers are presented to the artist's managers, and hip hop managers usually go for the most money, even if the promoter is not reputable.

Also, when booking such a tour, thought needs to be given as to what competing tours are in the territory at the time. Therefore, if there is another artist in the region as 50 Cent, will the consumers in the region be able to afford the high ticket prices to see 50 Cent and a competing act?

All this is weighed when routing a tour, and that's why you see such an odd routing structure for this tour.

Sincerely,
God
