Unequal Samples

ill o.g.
Ive been able to work around it when it happens but most of the time when you take samples from vinyl (in stereo). You might only get part of the guitar on the left channel, and the rest of the guitar and drums on the right. Kinda Unbalanced or Unequal if you know wut i mean.
I usually use Wavelab 4.0 to take the left channel and also assign it to the right channel.

How do you solve this, and/or does this ever happen to you?

it happens alot to me.

i make another copy of the sample. in the first wav i delete the right side and copy the left side. in the second wavi delete the left side and copy the right side. so i have two samples, one with the right side information and one with the left side information. problem is that the samples are in mono now. stereo can be achieved with panning and effects etc.

sometimes i leave it though

when recording your sample from the record to the computer. record your file as mono not stereo. this should eliminate the problem from the first time you record the sample. or use the ideas above whicxh can create different efx. or just take the left or right channel the one you think sounds the best cut it and the save as a mono file.
if you want a stereo feel like mr mesenger said if you have the 2 mono tracks and hard pan left and right your stereo sound will be there.
but dont try and have your bass stereo keep bass mono.

i jus use the channel mixer in cool edit pro 2 and jus use the preset that makes an equal mix on both channels with the left and right inputs
