Of course! That's how I got started with things back in '96. At first I just learned the basics like mixing then I slowly got up to baby scratches and then beat juggling. I'd have to say juggling is my favorite because it can get really complex.

You ever enter any battles?

Oh yeah, what happened to the Skratchcon forums???

"!The Dj is the Cornerstone of HipHop!" I do Djaying, mostly for myself, sometimes at Parties.... I use my scrathcing skillz in my production, no beat leaves my studio without cuts&scratches! But I don't do Battles, and I don't consider myself as aTurntablist, right now I'm working on a mixtape...

I can mix cool but my best scratch technique sounds like Eric B or some other old schooler. I'm not a DJ tho, I just tell whores I am sometimes. :p

yea i cut it up, mostly for the fun of it tho. also it's valuable if you can cut it up on your own beats which i take the time to do every now and then.

TECHNICS 4 LIFE HERE.
DJIN IS HOW I GOT INTO PRODUCING. I BATTLE AT SCHOOL AT OUR RALLYS 4 THE BREAKERS BUT, THEIR WAS NO COMPETITION. SO I TRYED TO BATTLE THIS DUDE THAT BATTLED AT SOME DMC CONTEST AND OWN A DOPE JBL SPEAKER SET:
2 15'INCH LIQUID COOLED TRIPOD SPEAKERS WITH 2 18'INCH LIQUID COOLED SUBS.
BACK TO THE STORY HE WENT FIRST AND MADE ME FEEL HELLA WEAK. HE WAS CRABIN,FLARIN,BREAKIN,AND JUGGLIN BUT 2 HIM THAT WAS NOTHIN.
I WILL ALWAYS BE A TURNTABLIST 4 LIFE. NOW I DJ LOCAL CLUBS,PARTYS, AND SOON RELEASE PARTYS & WEDDINGS.

I would like to get into DJing, but I need to save up for decks. So for now I'm sticking to producing on the computer. I'm hoping to get a friend of mine with decks to put some cuts over my tracks soon.

Tuning up ya Turntables!?

Yo Fam, hope all is well.

Anyone had to get there turntables (Technics 1210s) tuned up??? Ive noticed that my left arm extension is beginning to recover more slowly from a pull back than it used to and was wonderin whether a tune up would sort this...

Ive been round nuff london deck shops and they all offer a deck tune up for £60-80 but im not sure whether this would sort our my (personal) problem..... (haha!) Let me know if anyones had to do this ish before and if it works.... (Cause if im payin some fm to service my decks he dont wanna give em back shiny and ish without them workin better...... you know wht Im saying.

Thanks in advance for the advice fam.

Peace

P
