Turntable for sampling/scratching etc?

Look for local ads. What you specifically need is a direct drive turntable. Check that the speed is good of course if you can, inspect the cartridge it has. New ones at that range are mediocre at best, a good vintage table is the way to go. Be sure to do some googling around.
 
Second hand SL1210's is where Id go. And a good cartridge is very important for scratching. Ortofon cartridges are very expensive though, and since Shure stopped selling their cartridges the choices are limited. Id also invest in Serato(I already have), just so any mp3 can be scratched and the creative possibilities are endless.

Yeah go used, there's plenty. 1200's are king but most direct drives will do if you're just doing some basic scratches. If you want to be a SKRATCH MANIAC then 1200's or some of the new stuff. Cartridges are important too.
