Trouble on my mind...

Hey, just had questions that i know only you guys would be able to answer...

In making music, we have this formula into making or completing one.
we have to be able to put certain effects at a certain amount of volume to get to a "general sound" or one that is most appealing to the public.
some of us follow the guide some of us do not.
my question is...

in this profession or hobby, do we really have to follow all this rules?
I mean does following all this make us better?
Isnt it not the end result we aim for?

(just a late night thought...)

Good point! You can do all the regular stuff that everyone else does, and I believe that's why a lot of music today sounds the same (plus other reasons). I'm a firm believer in just doing whatever you want, it's your music.

What is it you're trying to accomplish? Just beats? Or full on productions?

I guess for now is to make the best beats gearing to a production.

Practice, Practice, Practice. You need to make probably 50-100 beats before you will make anything decent. Just keep at it for the long haul!

Haha, definitely the golden rule... Practice...thanks!

If you guys dont mind maybe you could tell us your story? and how you came about doing what your doing now? :D

Oh boy. Well I'm drinking right now so I don't have the mental capacity to get deep mind stuff oging on. Maybe another time.
