yeah, I can see and hear it, but I cant quite figure out what method you used. Any light you can shed would be dope. If it's too much trouble though it's all good.

well u see its like 190 bpm or woteva... i can't quite remember... i just halved the drums... u see the drum beats span over 2 bars... thats basically the only way i could explain it... and because its doubled...its sounds like the hi hats and drum rolls are tripled...

Much easier way, fellas.

Create your hi hats, duplicate the hi hat layer,
and theres an option somewhere in the sample window that says "offset" (i'm not at a computer with FL right now... sorry... working from memory) If you change the offset to 25, you can do double time hihats.... i assume if you do like 17 or something, you can get triples...

lemme know if it helps

Here's the answer...

in the channel options window, it's in the function options .... at the bottom, labeled "ofs" ... the nob adjusts how the note hits between other notes.... Lets say you are working with a song at 96 BPM, 32 steps per bar.... and you have two hihat layers, and one is offset at 25 (half)... then you fill all steps in both layers, then you'll hear 64 hihats per bar... I dont remember the numbers to make it 96 steps per bar, but you shouldn't need that unless you're doing some wackass swizz beats track or something. ALSO, all the other methods above work good too, I've tried them in the past, but through trial and error, I prefer my method because I'm stuck on my ways of seeing it at 80-98 bpm and 32 steps per bar. but whatever works for you is good, right?

CHECK THE IMAGE I INCLUDED.

I'm going to try it now Datson. I'll tell you how I fell about it.

Yes I've tried it, and it is good to offset with and get different rythms. But for triple taps, that's too many channels to add when you can just put a echo on it and adjust the timing.

Thankx for the tip though, I never used that before. Thankx Potna

No problem Kevin....

I agree berserk.... some people prefer different layouts though... I'm more comfortable staying from 80-100 bpm, snares every 8 steps, etc....

either way, it works, right?

When you double the tempo it limits you, what if I want it to hit faster than double the tempo or slower? Easy is good, and double is sufficient, but not always the best result. Sure you can also use these things on a file that has double the tempo, but when you figure out there are things that give you more control, you'll realize you never had to double the tempo in the 1st place, you can, but if you know what to do, there is no need to

This is how I do doubles with fruity loops. All I do is clone the snare channel. Then select the graph editor for that channel(its to the left of the piano editor button). Then I move the bottom bar that start off saying velocity all the way to right until it says shift. Then I raise the shift for every note to the halfway point. This makes every note in that channel play half of a tick late. Then all you have to do is fill in the notes in the two channels that you want. The only problem I have is that I can't find a way to make the 1st snare channel cut itself after the 2nd one plays. If you can find a way to do this please let me know.

Set snare1 to cut itself and place note where it should stop. Now set the volume on that note to zero. Place snare 2 at that position or select the chnl and ctrl+c and ctrl+v in the chnl where sanre 2 remain..

thanks for the info but is there a way to do it when I am rolling the snare drum i.e. both channels are full of notes where the roll is i.e. I want the snare1 to cut itself when snare 2 plays. Maybe I just didn't understand you last post well enough. Is it somehow possible to solve this problem with the XY controller or with layering? I don't know the Xy controller or the layer controllers well at all.
