Ok so...one of my MC's is a novice beat maker, and he brought over his Triton and wanted me to track out one of his beats.....???.......!!!!....oh shit....never done that. When he first mentioned it to me...i did a quick think and was like..."damn how are you suppose to line up the tracks, as to not let them be outta synch??!!" I hate when i cant resolve a situation. I can usually think my way through it. Now the first thing that came to mind was midi synch, im not a hardware junkie, so never had to use it.

If some of you guys get the time, could you post up your methods for doing this..i use mostly software, so never had this problem before....preciate.

This is the part where I get ragged, I HATE midi. I just have a paranioa of it. OH I USE IT!!
Sure, but once I have it working I leave it alone. Thus I dont sync in protools with it. LOL
Thats right every track you may or may not have heard that I have run into prottols has been synched by hand!! hahaha!
I do a 4 count hh lead then whatever inst comes next on the line I start at the end of the 4 count. Let it roll thru then drop the next. I had a guy show me the sync thing but I didnt like it cuz it didnt have a count and just started right away so I went back. LOL
Yes like Usher this is my confession!!!
Anyway however you do it , you put each inst on a different track then you can mix each track accordingly.
I keep mine syched by hitting it on the money!!! LOL
*Ducks and runs around looking for his former respect* lol
