Most of u guys might know this...but to new users this amy be helpful......most of reasons sounds are lacking they...get real boring real quick especially basslines. If u attach a scream machine to your bassline, turn the cut button on, and put they mid and high cut down and turn the lo cut all the way up...it adds alot of punch and liveliness to your bass...then you can adjust wave type and your parameters to make it sound as gritty or as smooth as u want...the scream machine is hot as fuc...there r alot of people who do not even use it...just a tip

You can always try simply eq'ing it first through tha mixer *(add more bass, but not too much or youll start clipping - and maybe even cutting some of tha treb...this will give a slight flat effect, but with moderation it can give more depth)
Also you can always compress your bass or use tha vocoders eq.

Maybe even try a sine synth if your going for a deep bass thats aggressive inside tha subtractor or tha Malstrom*(My fav - in tha synth area)

And last - look for good sampler files that are basses...they tend to be more in tha realistic realm for achieving that real bass guitar feel.

Good Luck - and remember...just experiment with everything and youl always find something you like...its time consuming but worth it.

Yes, that's strictly for 2.5 as earlier Reason versions do not have the scream machine.
For version 1, perhaps layer the bass/instrument and just play around with the OSC, LFO, filters etc till you get the sound you want.
