it's our instinct to survive and find happiness not to fuck each other over or be better than everyone, that's just ego.

Thats a dope line, i like that.

I'm no conspiracy theorist but I know something aint right when i drive around in the middle of december with my windows rolled down.

^ AMEN and sincock Ill cosign with that...
You would you cretin.
As for Sincock saying we are in the middle of an Ice age.
That itself says that the world has been hotter than it is now, and yet here we all are the world hasnt ended.
At the end of the day the predictions that we are being given are based on computer models using limited variables, that cant possibly be a true representation of what is happening.
Its like the ozone layer being destroyed by CFC's and not Haarp firing microwaves into the outer atmosphere to bounce back towards the earth and thus manipulate weather patterns.
Nor the rise in carbon dioxide not being attributed to us cutting down all the rainforests that absorb the CO2 and converting it to oxygen, but no, dont stop the deforestation, just tax everyone as far as you can. Thats there answer. I have to disagree.

all shit were pumping into the atmosphere has to have SOME effect... the shit aint natural.... every action has a reaction ... we are going to "pay" for abusing the earths resources in some shape or fashion....even if all the shit we burn up doesnt directly cause global warming, i bet it causes other problems that we might not even be aware of yet... i firmly believe in the butterfly effect and the shit we pull is more like a condor flappin its wings than a butterfly. sayin that we dont contibute to global warming is kinda like sayin weed has no long term effects... i mean maybe not.. but how do we know? and does that somehow make it "okay" to continue emitting all that shit into the air? ... or smoke a half ounce a day for the rest of your life? too much of ANYTHING is never good... i read somewhere that ordinary peanut butter has a small dose of toxin in it ... its not enought to harm u, but someone that eats peanut butter and jelly day after day for a long stretch of time could be fucked. same principle here .... shit .. i drink at least 4 to 5 coca-colas a day minumum.. how do i know one day that my fucin brain wont explode because of it?

but how do we know?

This was my main point, maybe the shit we do does contribute. But there really is no evidence to say carbon dioxide is the cause. Its all speculation based on compuiter simulations. Theres no denying the climate is changing, but the truth is, no one really understands its true cause. The governments of the world are using the climate change as a pay day for themselves, which is what I hold issue with. And before the last ice age, scientists who took ice core samples are saying that before the iceage which came on suddenly after a period of global warming causing the conveyor to stop.
What if its a natural cycle of our solar systems travel around its galactic centre. A season in a galactic year, another wild theory I might have just made up actually. Its all just theories and theories need to be proven to become a fact.

i know one thing ... that hazy sky over LA, and that horrible smell in north jersey didnt naturally appear out of nowhere lmao. There are countless real and tangible tradegies that are results of our overindulgence. that in itself should be reason enough to chill out on the emissions and look for alternate energy sources. fuc a global warming. those scientist need to be coming up with solutions instead of arguing why shit is fuced up.

Im from London, we used to have smog in the beginning of the industrial revolution. London was famous for its pea soup fog/smog. Any country that has an industrial revolution has had its pollution problems. I know about the effects of pollution, but they are localised problems in relation to the whole world. And most of the problems with industrial pollution is Carbon Monoxide, Sulfur Dioxide, Cyanide gas and other poisonous gasses. Not gasses that are food for plants. Not to mention the chemicals that are dumped into the seas that are causing large dead areas in the oceans. I know man is like a cancer on the planet, but thats because the money/power hungry corporations are bleeding the earth as much as they are bleeding its people. We generally are victims as much as the earth is, why should we the victims of earths demise pay for its 'saving'(which really means bigger paypackets for our leaders)
while the multinational corporations which fund the same politicians get away scot free to carry on poisoning the planet and us in order to turn a profit bigger than last years profit. We are not the culprits personally, its the corporations with more money than some countries that are the major cause.
We generally are foolish brainwashed people that buy into fashion and fads, hence why so many people have started driving SUV's and jeeps. Is it our fault we are bombarded with propaganda that tells us to buy into this shit just to keep our failing economies afloat due to the demise our our countries own manufacturing and farming we are becoming more and more dependant on supplies from abroad, which only benefits a global economy(Multinational corporations).
Why aint the record breaking profits of these multinational compaines payng to save the world. And why are we being brainwashed into worrying about things like sports, personal wealth, image, etc. Instead of the problems of the world. Its only recently since talk of green taxes that we are now being bombarded with propaganda telling us the end of the world is nigh if we dont pay these taxes.

^^^ your absolutely right .... its fuced up ... when farmers are paid NOT to grow crops, when pharmaticuteical compianes put out shit thats stronger than street drugs and 4x as harmful to the body, all for the love of the dough...... but since the problem is economic, the solution has to be economic as well.. the companies need to pay heavy tax emissions taxes, not the consumers. ... but realisticly, thats not gonna happen... corporate and government greed is too strong to allow that logical course of action to surface.

As far as the politics of the situation: I agree 100% with what you said 2good.Of course it's not the average ignorant persons fault, (well at least not as much as governments and corporations). And of course chopping down forests is a major cause of more CO2 in the atmosphere.

When the planet has warmed in the past in between ice ages the process has been one of gradual change over thousands of years not like what we have happening now; which has been a very rapid rise just over the last hundred years. Part of the concern is that the natural order doesn't have time to adjust to the change. When the planet has warmed in the past natural systems could evolve in accordance with change. That's not possible now.

The change in temperature is measurable and is happening. What the results will be is hard to say but it's not looking good. Computer models may or may not be accurate but we can see for ourselves what is going on right now. We don't need a model to tell us that shit's looking more and more fucked up.
