hi. few questions.

i'm usin acid to make all the beats. i use cool edit to record vocals. for some reason though, whenever i'm using effects, even just one graphic eq or whatever in the tracks in both acid and cool edit everything slows down. shit gets real slow and i don't know how to speed it up.

in acid, i'm not sure how to use my midi controller to assign samples to keys and play it out. can i even do this?

also, what's the fastest way to track out from acid to cool edit? cuz i have heard people talking about it but it seems that the only way would be to use stereo and record left and right for two tracks and the same time, and track out the beat two tracks at a time like that. is there a faster way to do this?

i dont use acid or cool edit and without knowing your computer specs i cant help you too much. the only thing i can think of it that your processor is not fast enough to support plugins. does it get slower and slower with the more effects try and insert? if so its probably the processor. you can download programs to artificially speed it up but it want make a lot of difference. your best bet would be to save up and get a new processor. something decent will probably cost you bout $AU 200.
Goodluk and dont just stop making beats till you get the new processor. remember it aint bout the gear your using its wat your doing with wat you got.
