The OTHER equipment??

Do you ever get a little upset when you need a some audio chords or some other equipment that you NEED in order for your gear to work?? Like I needed to get another mic stand and mic cable, and headphones, so i go and spend like way too much, but the stuff you have will not work unless you have it. I guess what I am trying to ask is, when everyone is like I want this piece of equipment, do you include the price of the necessary OTHER stuff or do you get home with no more money and sit there and wonder why i didn't save for that cable?? it happened to me before..lol

yeah ive had this happen......it really is a petty problem though.

go buy what you need to get shit working. no point sitting around.

if your out of cash your out of cash....just sit and look at your new toy untill you get cash for cables

I'm not gonna say I didn't but I bought some sh*t from tha music store (sam ash) and I might coped a few things. I think at that tyme I just got my dat machine and another adat. I have tha money but tha sales rep never told me I needed these cables. And I lived about an hour away. It was a sat, close sunday. You know I was hott! I got mad cables not bein' used but not right ones. Went back on monday to get them had no cash, but check thou. Couldn't use cuz I ain't license. That's a nother story but yeah I've been there........lol needless to say I got a cables........lol

That happened a couple of times to me, but it will NEVER happen again.
I just happened to NOT KNOW WHAT PHANTOM POWER IS when i got my first good mic. And figuring out the difference between stereo and mono was also a big step. Im doing ok now thhough. Now i always look to see exactly what im gonna need to do whatever.

I got some synths and computer once to make some music, but I didn't realise that you needed TALENT to get everything to work. I went back to the store (Guitar Center) to get some, but they sold their last copy to a mariachi band.

yeah...see i live like an hour away too, so it can be a problem, they closed down mars music so now i have to go to guitar center which sucks, and you know they are not going to tell you what you need, if you are not spending a lot of money, they wont even talk to you

thats the biggest thing that most of us did not know about....90 percent of the time when you buy gear its never a "im done" buy a mpc and you got to get memory or sounds or efx or out puts....buy a mic and youll need a cord buy speakers and youll need cords...buy a computer and youll need a sound card....buy a keyboard and youll need something to save the data too or or rom cards....the list go on but i like this way cause you have a choice to get what you need and what you dont cause if the shyt you need was thrown in youll most likley get over price for it anyways

Yo pboyproducer I came down to atl last month to see a friend(if things go good ill hope to live there soon) but i went to the guitar center there...Man your lucky to have something like that...i dont have shyt like that to just go and play and find out why or why dont want some new gear. Damn they had everything....my lession learn was to bring a pair of head phones cause eveybody is playing something its hard to focus....
