Just got my MPC1000 in the mail yesterday!!
And to my surprise it came with maxed out RAM...
I just ordered some ram from newegg, supposed to arrive today, so I'll just return that and contribute that money for the MonsterCables fund.

I been doing nothing but reading and learning about the MPC for about a week and a half now. Now that I have it, I pretty much know the basics, but i'm going through the instructions manual, and other books, just to learn that shit inside out.

I'm up on mpc-forums as well, but that being said.. Anyone got some tips and tricks they'd like to share. Pgms they'd like to share (lol). etc?

Congrats bro,
I love that machine.
Let me know what kind of tips you're looking for, probably the best tip I can give you is to go into program, move the cursor all the way to the left, and press open window. This lets you copy the contents of the pad (sound + all settings) to any other pad in any other program. dope.
One of the other dope features is Pad+F11, I had written on MPC forums, search for the thread "Dope chorus effect" (I'm also on there as dahkter).
For programs, try those bangin beats joints, lots of good sounds, and the MPC1000 can load the program files.

Tight fawking machine, congrats, only your mind will limit what you can do on it!....get the upgraded OS and you are set! I miss mine but what can I say the only thing I could do at this point is get a 4000 LOL.
