yep.. i finally cracked under pressure... thats it fellas.. no more buying hardware for a loooong time (no new version of the RS is ever comin out.. thx alot Yamaha)... my next purchase will prolly be some version of an Ipad, as far as music production goes... but yep.. i bought it, i have it, and fuck it.. lol.. im still usin the RS, it will never replace that.. but i got it.. tell u bout it later on.. gonna be awhile b4 i know it fully, but once again.. its in tha crib. let the wars begin..

3x rs is flexible working hehe, but i bet its one spare machine at least they were proper builds.

the one thats powered up, thats the original.. i put a hard drive in that one... thats the one a beat gets created on... i also take that one to beat battles and shows, a friend's house, etc... the 2nd one is the one that i use to track down my beats, its usually plugged up to my track machine.. basically its for convenience... instead of pluggin up my 1st RS, i just take the memory card out, and slide into the 2nd one... the 3rd is just in case 1 or 2 breaks down... yes a spare... lol

well i'll say this for starters... the price, the look, and the fact that we have Maschine and of course the "MPC" brand has everyone scared to trust this baby.. it has its own way of recording like everything else, but it has some great sounds on here.. battery seems to have a 3+ hour life after bein fully charged... and i just plug and unplug whenever i please... thats the best.. so far, so good for me... havent hooked it to the computer yet.. hit u guys later.

Day 2: im likin it... sittin right next to me in the room, after waking up... just pick it up, and turn it on... a pair of headphones and im good to go.. i gotta get used to the lack of any knobs to turn, to change my sounds... its more page and menu driven... coloring and fattening ur sound requires page turning.. even tho the sounds are great without this, im used to altering the sound further with a simple knob turn... something i gotta get used to.. the weight is crazy! its as if Tonka made this joint.. i didnt charge it last night, but the battery is still strong.. right now, it hasnt wavered from an "A".

I had, and loved the asr x pro, for years, lost it when I was stupider than I am now... And still have ASR X PRO on my gear wish list.
When I saw this box I thought somebody bought the rights from emu, and leased the guts to these people.

Looks are deceiving. I lived and died by my asr-x from the time i was 12 till 19. Beat Thang? I fuck with it to a point, but its no ensoniq.

I got the Beat Thang Virtual(software version) a couple weeks ago, havnt really sat down to figure it out yet. From going thru the sound it seems cool, ill prod end up converting the BTV sounds to .wav to use in maschine

well... as everyone predicted, it was too expensive, and its comin out at a time when laptops, ipads, and other software on a whole, rule the land.. its sad, but whoever decides to buy it, is gonna have a great machine, trust me when i tell u that!
