That Ole 60's sound is back.

I have noticed something in music that has me very excited right now. Its the resurgence of the old 60's sound.
With artists like Duffy, Amy Winehouse, and another name I wont mention until I have sampled it and done my own version(tune is fucking phat!!!!). With the old tracks being sampled and resampled then sampled a little bit more its very refreshing to have some new sample material coming out right now. I think going back to the 60's is a great way of putting the quality back into music. Just thought Id share and see what you thought about it.

The new Gnarls Barkley is a lot like that, very sixties/seventies type of vibe. Disappointingly little bass, however i'm a fiend for low end and like my bass big and round.

I gotta say that new Gnarls Barkley song is something else. Lack of bass or not, there's more than enough percussion to carry it off. And the groove is very Detroit soul styled.

Love it.

I'm not noticing much else 60s style though.
