That Nobody - John Wick

Thought some Hohn Wick dialogue would fit nicely with this one with fun shots and all.
It’s my beat entered in the last Beat This with the added vocal.
Many thanks to all feedback.

I’ll try and catch up with feedback soon, working too damn much.

I love that style of reverb on a snare. Noticed when the gunshot came made me think the snare is a pitched up version of it. Not a criticism, but a suggestion... you could try, having the big reverb on only the second snares. So it's like boomboom clak, boomboom claaaaaa. Sometimes it sounds better, sometimes not; it canjust help give a bit more variety and a 'waiting' for the big snare. Also, because the beat feels a bit pacey, those snare tails are carrying on a bit long, maybe they needed to die a 16th or 8th shorter, or have the verb only on the second. Again, not cricisms, fine as it is. Just nuanced suggestions.

Only thing that bugs me is the trumpety thing, sounds a bit goofy. In the intro listening to it, I feel like it could work well on a grime type of beat. Good work though, mixed well.

Thanks for the feedback appreciated. Yeah good shout on the snares, I like ya thinking on the second snare as well as the tail end.

And yeah I get the ‘goofy’ part, I have a habit of doing that like a complete vibe switch. Guess it goes with the goofy son who fucked up killing wicks dog and stealing his car :ROFLMAO:

Great feedback brother, thanks for taking the time.

i think that bass could be thickened up a bit. And the string could be thinned out a bit. Id boost the low end on that bass a bit around 47-60hz and cut the low end on the string to make it a bit thinner.

Thanks 2Good, appreciate the feedback. I’ll have a play around with the bass and string low end, can already hear the string being a bit thinner.
The bass, I always find the sweet spot tricky, too much or too little for the ear and the mix.
I lean more to your motto of more bass is better (y)
