140 to 220 is the same like 70 to 110 if you think about it is just about the way what you wanna do with it, double the patterns or create larger gaps to give more room to details...
no techno and no house, besides hiphop i do experiment with some breakbeat and dnb influences or whatever that comes to mind..

everybody heard beats from me... and i usually produce around 160 and 220 bpm.... lol it is only recently that i've learned that i had to slow down. No wonder why i wasnt able to make bangers lol. Anyways, no matter your tempo, Keep banging!!!!!!!!!

Most "Down South" music is set at 160 bpm because that's how fast the hit hat is goin but everything else is goin at 80 [160/2=80].

When they get the high hats hitting like that from the south it's just their doing their beat in let's say 80 BPM... but then they do their high hats in triplets of like 1/6 or 1/32 timing...
