Tascam Fw 1804 V.S M-audio 1814

[50 cal]

Has anybody used any of these 2 interfaces, they both look tight. I heard m-audio Make some nice cards. How do you think these 2 compare to each other. The tascam look tight, and looks like it's trying to compete with the digi 002r but I don't know that much about it. What do you guys think.

I dunno man, i think i would go with the Tascam. M-Audio has been a reliable product, but i still would trust a Tascam more being that those guys have been makin shit like this for mad long.

Hey speaking of M-Audio......Did anyone else kno that Avid(Digidesign, makers of Protools) bought out M-Audio!?.......Could be a good thing...Well have to wait and see!

yeah saw that a while ago. It'll be tight ass hell if m-audio cards start coming with pro tools le.

i would go with the m audio .. for no other reason than the higher sample rate

I use a firewire 410(which is almost identical) as my main soundcard and i have no complaints, Plenty of outputs, great sound, and digtial I/O as well as real time montiering cabailitity. what else could u want.

Holmz iz right - it the m-audio does have a higher sample rate, tho i personally have a card that goes to 192 and while running at the rate, i seriously cant tell a difference....Regardless, the m-audio yer peepin is one a the "higher-end" joints anyways so id say u cant go wrong with it.
