This is like Elvis, do you mean the young hood lookin version of JZ?
Or the old and tired record exec lookin JZ with the harmonic balance all off in his mixes and the signal so hot it hurts to listen to on low volume while bangin beyonce JZ?

Because there IS a difference.

And just when you think JZ is wack watch "Black" the dvd

thats the wya i see it and i amnot a lil wayne fan either.

Many rappers do this to pay hommage to lines, rhymes they admire or respect. Jay-z done this a lot and he is considered one of the best rappers.

in the book circuit it is plagiarism if you use another works without acknowledgement.. and a few songs like lodi doddi is fine because he obviously is paying homage and respect to slick rick BeCause he wasn't trying to hide that at all. But when you have false artists trying to sneak a bar or two then it's definitely suspect.

who cares though.. he's generic.. i've known that for years, although i didn't differentiate him from all his other goof-troop-wackass-cronies.. what we consider dope has nothing to do with what his 13 yr old fans consider.

Its like he doesn't have respect for his reputation. He would enjoy 13 year old kids to buy his shit vs. being admired as one of the greatest by everyone from 8 years old to 40

i'm really not even familiar with a lot of the lyrics he jacked but since the first time i heard wayne i knew that shit was fake.

his shit has no soul. i even care if rappers aren't intelligent or socially conscious. i like anything that has a good creative energy about it. i've never thought any of his music has that. he may be smart or creative as far as creating a certain image or persona, which seems to have helped him make major bank.

Im not a lil Wayne fan but damn some of you guys take this shit so seriously. Jay-z does it too a lot of rappers do it. Music is music. Ive said earlier im not fan of the guy but he is a young veteran in the rap game and has been at it for10-12 years.

Sadly but true this is what works in hip hp. Not to mention that good beats come a dime a dozen these dayas and if you are blessed with good beats your set

Lil' Wayne sux. I never liked him anyway. I don't care that he jacked lyrics. It just validates my thoughts about him in the first place.

exactly, bottom line, I feel the same way...it would seem that the traditional way of blowing up and being successful in this game would be to come out and be original ( like those that he did alot of his jacking from ) however his personal success says otherwise. No matter what we think about him or JayZ, they both have made their mark in hip hop and that says enough on its on.
