I got a question.. Im looking into making a real nice studio over these past few months, i'll have it in a corner of me n my wife's bedroom. The room is quite spacious, I figured over 4-5 months i can spend well over 6g's. So, i started making my list and now im looking for more shit. So c'mon fam. help a fella out. So far i have:

On my Comp:
Reason 3(My Bassline)
FL 6 Studio XXL Edt(Producing)
Sound Forge(sampling)
FreeRip(for diggin').

on my order list i got
:
MAudio Keystation 49e',
Behringer B2030P Passive Studio Monitors,
Emu 1820M 24-Bit/192kHz Interface with 2 Preamps,
Akai MPC2000XL MCD Production System and Sampler
Alesis MultiMix 12USB Mixer with USB Audio.

also hit record stores, yard sales, and thrift stores for diggin

instead of a 2000xl u might want to consider a 2500, its about the same price if u shop around and is a big step above

or a 1000 its cheaper with more features when the new OS 2.0 comes out

and both have usb connectivity

I believe that youl need "ACTIVE" monitors though, not passives unless u have a power source to amplify the monitors? The actives already have a amp in them, that way u can just plug to yer soundcard without the hassle. Oh and good choice with the soundcard, i have a 1820 and its fucking excellent. Only bummer about those cards is they are'nt cross-formatted for the use with PC and MAC - only PC.
