I had to recently change my set up from one wall to the other. I finally got everything runnin accordingly right? But last night I reinstalled Audition and started to record and when I play anything, I get a small static sound. I don't get it in FL, Reason, or Soundforge....could this be my sound card or the software?

my guess is the software, more than anything, because if you have each of those other programs running the same audio card and nothing else, and no static, it could either be a dll or other processor used by audition program to handle the stub process for the sound card and run it.....i mean the only other thing to take the power out of the equation is plug everything back into the other plug and try it...

It seems quite strange that the feedback problem you are currently having is only related to that one DAW and none of the others you are working with. Maybe it's worth looking into your Audition settings to check if they are how there ment to be - seeing as it is a fresh installation.

The only other option that i can really think of at the moment would to be change your audio drivers to see if that happens to make much, if any difference(s).
