1. I would suggest that you go with software, you can still use the sp-606 and you will get so much more for your money. FLStudio 7 is a very good starter program, there are better programs out there but as far as bang for the buck, FLStudio 7 is hard to beat. Another perk for FLStudio 7 is that once you buy it, you get free upgrades for life so when FLS 8 comes out, you get it free.

2. Before you think of buyimg a turntable, ask yourself "where will you be getting the majority of your samples from?" If it's vinyl, then get a t-table, if it's from cd's then look into purchasing a scratchable cd deck like a cdj-800 or something related. If you will be getting your samples from music downloads, you don't really need either but I suggest you get one or the other.

There are a ton of options that you will face, but the above will give you a very good start and get you rolling in the right direction.

good luck and welcome to the ILL,

yeah, its a good program, and as you can see you have plenty of tutorials for it...FLStudio.com has about 30 tutorials also that will assist you after you get the program. ILLMUZIK has a section on FLStudio too. You'll find a lot of hellp there.

Now Relic, there is NOBODY in here more pro-hardware than me but he's 17 and on a budget. Software is just a good start. Can you imagine how much money it would cost to build a system like the rack in Reason? LMAO!

Hell my TV has 8 seperate components on it (not including 7 speakers)
