Soundclick question

How do people get on the top of the sound click site?(the homepage, best signed and unsigned bands) Some of the beats I listen to from those guys are... not that great, but they still get thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands of views.

Also what are the "Charts" position based on?

I think alot of people on the chrats their vote for themselves or have their friends vote for them. If you listen to the qualtity of music on soundclick it is horriable!!!

i agree and disagree .. the people at the top constantly promote their shit by spamming peoples message boards, getting their friend to vote and emails .. but some good comes outta being up there .. ive had 3 songs in the top ten without any spamming or anything .. ive found a few( i stress a few) nyce emcees, and a few beat buyers just because of my soundclick page ..nuthinn else .. so good does come out of it

yea ur right holmz i agree. But u have to wade threw ALOT of crap to get to some nice music. I was on their message board and charts last week and i couldent belive what i was hearing. Most of that stuff is a joke. The nicest MC;s and producers are on the low.

As a former chart topper of Soundclick, I think the whole site is bogus.. I held down the #3 spot for 3 weeks, like 2 months ago. I was suprised but at the same time I was skeptical of the chart system. I found out like A few of those chart toppers actually work there. Then they put all there boys on the top. Most of them just leave messages everywhere ie.. Fokiss, Huslte and a few others. So once you click on there site they move up the ranking. Even if you don't say it's hot or not. To me the whole site is bogus, and i aint never heard of anyone making it big from that site so, to me it's just somewhere to advertise my music. But don't get me wrong some of them producers got some real skills, and I do mean some. Most of soundclick is nonsence,and now that people are catching on, there not even going to the website anymore. So don't expect to be on the top of any charts on soundclick, untill sometime in 2021.. No what i meaN.

yea, i really think that the charts are bogus. i mean, listen to that Fokiss guy. he's just ridiculous in my opinion. no good, and he's holding down a top spot.

the highest i ever got was a 15 in the Techno charts, and then i dropped out of it in roughly a week or a week and a half. if you notice the top 3-4 positions really never move. and sometimes the beats there really arent that good. so it makes you wonder how they keep up there. i mean, i read the supposed rating system. you are supposed to get 1 point each time someone listens to your song for over a minute, and you get 2 points every time someone listens to it for over a minute using the special Soundclick player. that's what it says. so i dunno, maybe its true.

yea its good in the sense it gives you somewhere to upload your music too, and occasionally you will find good producers/emcees but it unreal the amount of shit thats on there and like has been sed above most of the stuff at the top of the charts is shit that has been promoted to death so nothing new there then kinda like the national charts !
