sound card installation problem

ok so i bought a midi soundcard and i put it into the computer slot, except theres like a half inch not filling in the slot. when i put in the driver cd nothing happens. when i look for new hardware installed nothing happens. can anyone help me out.

Sounds like it is an ISA slot ? Though I have trouble figuring out how an inch is ( 'bout 2,54 cm?! )

What type is it and who makes it? Is it PCI? It should be.....let me know

its 32-bit pci bus master and i dont know the company it just came in a cheap looking box

If its PCI, it needs to go into a PCI slot. It's tricky when it comes to these installs if ya never done it before....check the pic,,,
