Whats the word on Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX soundcard?

I've read one good review and am considering buying one but am interested in y'all opinions.

I recomended it to a friend recently.
Its tight. The recording quality is great and the playback is even better. The only thing is that it has (for some peeps) a completely usless Firewire port. There are better input cards, but for a well rounded sound card that doesnt cost half an arm, its pretty damn good. Watch out for installation trickiness. Either have it installed professionally or READ THE DIRECTIONS 40 TIMES!!!

I have a Terratec DMX6f fire soundcard and it's really good, got a lot of good features and quite a good price.

I want the Extigy for the pc that I just use here on the internet and archive my music on...great soundcard...just don't know if their line of products are real good for listening to your productions.

I Looked into the audigy too. and for $250 its a good deal, great quality and lots of ports.

GOOD BUT, REALLY 4 $250 U CAN GET A PRO RECORDING CARD THAT HAS BETTER FEATURES. THE SB AUDGIY IS 4 GAMERS WHO WANTS THE BEST SOUNDS CAUSE IT EVEN COMES WITH A DISC FULL.

I agree with tknk those are not for pro recording and your recording wont sound good at all everthing on them sucks for recording. you can get alot better sound for the same price go samash .com or something and look at the sound cards for the same price you ll get alot better recording.......
