That's the only way I know how to do it. Did you check the links at the end of the article? Maybe on the Reason site it would have more info.

I don't use Sonar...don't know it works diff't from the other DAWS. Are u opening Sonar first? If not Reason won't rewire to to Sonar I'm sure.

If that doesn't work is your Sonar 7 a cracked version? And does Sonar even support Rewired devices? Most other DAWS do....just not sure about Sonar. I got Sonar 8 32bit.....let me know if u wanna try it out.

Doing a brief google search seems like there are many many problems with Sonar 7 and Reason 4. Looks like all was good with Reason and Sonar 6 and earlier.

This what I saw some say they did and got things to work some what:

"I change my metronome setting from audio to Midi in Sonar & now I can hear the Reason tracks as I record others. That seems a little strange to me. Why would that work?"

Let us know what happens. Sonar 8 probably fixed that issue!

I may install Sonar 8 to see just to let u know.

LDB, there shouldn't be a problem with Sonar, I don't think it's the version. The article I wrote was for Sonar 4 and it worked fine although I initially had many problems to get it to work, that's why I did the article. I would suggest setting up the inputs/outputs first, then start to Rewire one program into another. If that doesn't work, maybe you should ask on the Cakewalk or Propellerheads site and see what they recommend!

I've seen where Sonar rewired to Reason worked just fine until Sonar 7. I don't use it so I really couldn't give any advice.
