I'm currently chopping up large amount of drums from a shitload of breaks. Anyone know a prog that will automaticly normalize and center every sound in the folders when i'm done?
Can you tell me what batch processing is? idk Edit: nevermind looked that up
And the chopping part is all covered with getting all the chops to folders, I just need to center and normalize each chop after i chop em, which would take an incredible amount of time if ima do it individualy
edit: found some proggys that will normalize, but anyone know something that will center all of the wavs?
That just normalizes, iv'e found something to do that already, but thanks dude. What I need is something that will center all the drums, and yes like panning in the center.
No it wouldnt. Whenever I convert audio to mono it just turns it into one track that plays the same audio on each side of the stereo, which leads me to a different question... anyone know something that will batch process files to mono?
Wavelab 6 is what I use. Although its expensive it does what you need. The option is under tools-->>batch process. You basically pick the files you want to process and tell it what you want done to them. In your case, normalize then save to mono. Hit run and let it do its thing.
Actually, you can apply any plugin and save to any format. A handy little process, in my opinion.
as far as batch processing, wavelab, soundforge, audition are a few. there are more but the names elude me now. i think just about all editors offer batch processing, some more in depth than others.
Batch is the way to roll as long as the software doesn't limit u to what can be executed in the process....
Did u try fuckin with Recycle yet tho? Its does what ur looking for.
Not sure what u meant about "centering the sample" tho?
I meant panning the drums to the center, I did so by just batching them to mono and it worked perfect. Na, I didn't get to use recycle, Kontents put me on to a useful program, did pretty much exactly what I needed. Btw project is finished and in the resources, bangin drums.
