Well, part of the problem with that is the crowd if not open minded might not be feeling you because they arent wanting to hear you they want to hear Dub C type of material.Thats prolly just my city though so forget that ..lol
As far as stage, remember, once up there you are acting, so dont be nervous BE vice verse.
Also dont sweat being nervous everybody is.
All arm motions and everything should be exagerated and animated, the people in the back have to be able to see and feel you too.
If the are going to be both of you on stage pick which side you want then own that side (thats if the mics have cords) that way you wont get tangled up walking back and forth.
If there are no cords then you can switch but its good to own a side.
Interact with the crowd.
Interact with each other.
Dont just mumble and shuffle up there, people came to see a preformance, remember on stage your an entertainer!
If you can do shit that makes them remember you for more than just the music.A gimick will work, and being white is no longer a gimick.
Dont use fake guns as props.
Oh DONT cup your hands over the mic and shout into it, this is a bitch for the sound man and it doesnt actually help you be heard any better it hurts, I dont care how cool Dub C looks doing it, they have their own sound people.
IMPORTANT: Get a sound check, I have been screwed countless times by not having one, you WILL suck if you dont get one, it never fails.
If you cant get one or something goes wrong, do NOT yell at the crowd, you cant win that argument.
Adapt well onstage and no one will know if you said the same line twice or any of that shit.
Have fun!
Congrads!
Can you tell I played before?
