Ok fam!

I have a fairly nice video camera. I've taped a couple episodes of us at work in the studio and what not. What I need is your help in deciding what video editing software (that's basically for dummies) I need to work with. How to drop video on uTube, here on ILL etc etc.

I'm up on the music game when it comes to getting shit online but when it comes to video (other than pushing record) I don't have a clue.

Keep it simple and help a brother out please. Keeping up with the music side of things is "mentally" taxing enough. I have to get the simplest way (for right now) to get some vids up!

Thanks in advance to all that post!

I'm not too familiar with video editing software but from the ones I've tried, there's the really good Adobe Premiere but a really easy one for dumbasses is Windows' Movie Maker. Give that a try.

When you're ready, send me the video so I can feature it on here! :feelgood:

ha ha very funny mf! I think I can handle the learning curve of Adobe. It's not that I can't learn "any" program out there for video editing it's just that I'm so focused on my production that "I don't want to" right now. Just need something simple that won't have me in a manual for weeks.

What System do you have? PC or Mac?
If PC then Adobe Premier like Fade said would work perfect.

Thank you. Like I said I'm going to check out AP.

U can use Vegas Video or Pinnacle Studio also ....... Does the cam have firwire hook up ? .... If not ull need a capture card ......

Ok! I'll check those 2 out as well. And yes the cam has firewire hook up ( I knew I needed that so I made sure it had it )
Thanks for the advice!

Windows movie maker on windows xp would probably be ur best bet... its free if u have xp and its meant to be userfriendly and you can have a pretty clean video when its all said and done

LDB, I got Vegas from Sweetwater and it's damn good. I wouldn't go as far as saying its good for dummies but I know how much you like figuring ish out...LOL. I will say that it is a very good program for a novice.

It has some very good features and relatively simple to use. Excellent bang for the buck IMO. I think we got the same cam so check out Sony vegas Pro in debt.

Appreciate all the advice. I ended up rolling with the software that came with the camera "PowerDirector Express". It was fairly simple so look out for many many vids here or on YouTube of everything we do in the future from the studio, to me making tracks, to us on the road trying to makes shit happen. 1
