@2GooD Productions Fantastic bro, here's my feedback
Sweet Earth Flying Flip - I really enjoyed this one a lot. A few feedbacks. I feel like the timing on the drums were sometimes, in a non-swingy way. Also, there were some sections of the scratching that seemed like they were off time. But still, I love the vibe of these.
Bismilahhi - This beat is wicked. Everything about it bangs man. Especially that bassline and those vocal chops. Exceptional work
I don't want to lose you - This one is a banger too man. No criticisms

I have 2 beats for this week , all feedback is appreciated, thanks.

So In Luv

The Bad Guy

@Rah.sool So In Luv, I really like this, its just so smooth. At first I thought it was going to have the vocal throughout, but man I was pleasantly surprised. Nicely executed flip.

The Bad Guy, this is really dope too. The mix seems a bit off though, especially on that kick drum. Gives the beat an overall hollow, muddy feel. If you like, I wouldnt mind having a go at mixing this for you, I think it could sound a lot better. I like the snare just hate that flappy kick lol.

Hey @2GooD Productions what's up?

Did you use the same drums and bass notes for the first 2 flips?

I think of the 2 the Sweet Earth Flying flip is my favourite. Although I went between them both for a bit after a good few listens to both. Obviously more going on and a few more breakdowns in the SWF one. I think I'd prefer it without the snare runs but that's more of a personal taste thing though. I wasn't as in to I Don't Wan To Lose You. It felt a little too generic. Nice work! Put that controller down and get more beats made! ^^

Edit - Bismillahi is my favourite!

Yo @Rah.sool what's up?

These 2 couldn't be any different.

So In Luv - really love the vibe on this. I think the drums make it a little bit too start-stop, maybe cause the hi-hat is running with the kick instead of carrying it in between? Still love it all the same. Vocal cuts and the lingering sample is ear candy to me. Love it!

The Bad Guy - the beat sounds it's been processed with a "nightclub next door" filter on it. I don't mind the drums at all, I think it all works but just doesn't speak to me the same way as the first one. Nice work as always!

Havent made any new beats in a few days, been playing Fallout 4 instead.
Heres some that I made recently but didnt showcase.

A few sampleflips.

Bismillahi Rrahmani Rrahim has to be my favorite. I love the delay on the guitar and the strings are so smooth! Where did you find the source for the strings?
Sweet Earth Flying Flip is like a time machine back into the 90s lol, I love it.
I dont want to lose you is the most unique of the three! I can see 50cent on it.

So In Luv

The Bad Guy

So in Luv really calms me down and makes me feel mellowed out. I dont know if its my ears or monitors or whatever, but I feel like the kicks could be just slightly louder to give them a bit more impact, but it works the way it is!

The bad guy is dope as well. I think there is a bass in there behind the kick drum that isnt really shining through the mix. But I could also be imagining it lol

I like this has a different vibe than the original but it sounds really well made! I dont have any negatives on this one, it also makes me feel very positive when listening in on it

These are the most recent things I made. I made the music and the visualizers to go along with the music. Feedback on both would be cool!

Cooked up a few more beats. Learning more about mastering and trying to perfect my sound.

@2GooD Productions

Sweet Earth Flyping Flip - i would've fattened up the snare and added a little reverb and delay. sample was nice but a little repetitive.

Bismihalli - I dig this one. It's got a west coast vibe with a funky bass line. Only critique is the strings sounded weak as in volume and tone.

I don't want to lose you - Another boom bap beat I'm digging. The sample didn't quite do it for me but the bass ompliments the drums very well.

@Yomni

Haki - Interesting sound design and melody. I dig the ever changing landscape you're presenting here.

Particle Distortion - I picture this beat used in a sci-fi movie. I love moody and dark melodies. This is my favorite out of the 2.

Hey @Yomni thanks for the feedback on my 1nce Again remix....

Both of your beats are hard for me to critique as they're not really styles that I listen to or recognise. What I will say is they sound very polished and well executed from a mixing perspective. Very professional sounding. I actually think they would both make for excellent character selection music in a fighting game. That's what they remind me of. Particularly Haki.

@Amnesia Again, I find it quite difficult to critique these as I don't have any references. I'm not sure any of these are really hip hop to be honest.

This has got my head nodding but it needs drums, at least a kick and a snare. With just a kick and snare Id say it was done.

@Yomni The first one. I like this, this is on some Jean Michel Jarre does trap type tip. Reminds me of "Crockets Theme" from the 80's dont know why. Just went to look it up on youtube, and Im sampling that shit in a minute.

The second one reminds me of some John Carpenter does trap type beat. Definitely different to anything Ive heard before. A unique sound that seems to borrow a lot from film composers, and the visualizations look great too.

@2GooD Productions Fire stuff. I Don't Want to Lose You and Bismillahi are on point – no criticisms. My only criticism for Sweet Earth Flying, and this is just my personal feeling, is the bell/xylophone sound is too dissonant and noticeably out of tune.

@Rah.sool So In Luv is very well done. I agree with 2GooD about the mix on The Bad Guy – there's just something off about that kick drum.

After a 15+ year hiatus, I am back to making beats again. This is the first track I've completed and it was composed completely on my MPC Live. I already know this isn't my best work but I'd love some feedback.

If my sound is different from everybody else, I accomplished my goal
