Part of the room, I need to actually take a pic, I also need to reorganize it.. Those BS stands are shorter now lol..My "DJ" bless his heart made em and until I get some pro ones Im gonna use em cuz he thinks they are awsome lol.
This pic was taken by a client and shows one side of the studio room, there is another side to it.

Nice setup. Gonna ask a question though, does having only 5 or 6 foam pads make a difference? I would have thought you would still have the bounce off the walls. Or are they strategically placed?

Stratigically placed and there are more than that just not in the pic, Truth be told I need to get those bass scoop things too for the corners and what not. It was all sorta hastily assembled because as much as I sometimes feel like givig up on all this I was losing my mind after 24 hours in the new house with no studio, then really goin nuts 24 hours later when the sound was aaaalllll fugged up.
There is foam and diffusors on the wall, more on the ones to the side of the speakers and the back of the room.

Relic or any one who can answer this question ....... Does having the foam help keep the sound in a room? ...... I moved into a new house and been remodeling the basment for 6 months now so im going super nuts ..... lol .... finaly unpacked my MV8800 and started messing around alittle .... I will post my setup once my new studio room is complete

no, not really. The foam'll just help with the accoustics in a room. Only way to keep the sound in would be soundproofing proper; double dry walls, suspended ceiling etc.

I would completely cover the wall directly in front of you and directly behind you Relic. Then you can place the foam squares on the other walls. You can get enough eggcrate foam for those two walls for a bill to a bill fitty. I just put up some on my walls. The wall behind me is 18 ft by 8ft and the one is front is 10 x 8 and I covered them completely for $164. I'm going to do wedge squares like you and corner bass absorbers the rest of the way. Spend another bill sixty and I should be good. I already have suspended ceilings in the entire downstairs of my crib plus my studio is right under the garage!

I like my mixer. I have had no problems with it. I am actually taking a the long road when I track out my beats. I dont have the expansion board for my MV. So i actually go into mixdown mode and record each element of the track seperatly as a WAV and export it to my computer. I just have an e-mu cheap soundcard.
