Should I take that risk AGAIN?

I sent beat to one dj who was working on mixtape promoting unknown artist/producers , he putted adds all over the site that he own and he is in fact known for supporting unknown cats. So I sent him 10 beats. My cousins friends then told me I shouldn't done that cuz the dude can steal me. So I was all sad and all, cuz I thought these beats I did were "lost". But now, the dj sends me a email saying that he had a virus 3 weeks ago so he reformat is computer and that he lost the beat i sent him. He ask me to send those 10 beats again.

eventhought, he really looks fowards to put the mixtape out, but you know if a dude comes to him with money and tells him to give one of my beat he probably would take right? money does everything..... SHOULD I TAKE THE RISK AGAIN?

dont send him your full beat . As a DJ, im sure he will manage to mix your beat with a 2 minutes 30, each beat. Make sure that everything is clear, make him sign an arrangement. Dont Send your 10 best beat. Send your very very good beat, but not all the hottest. If people want to buy your beat, they will have to go to you, not to him. IF the guy cant make business you will know, but at least, your best beat wont be lost.... Music is about taking risk. Go for it, you'll never know. Like merc said, if you have your copyright on, you're okay. Show him the paper and he'll show you the money!!!!!!lol

aight thx for you advice, but this shit ain't about money just for promotion, cuz they gonna shop it to labels and all. And on the 10 beats only 3 are really hot, and the rest is good.

Like said, put lil beat samplers on there, and also have ya name running thru the track, not too loud, but noticeable, say at the end of every 4 bars...

Hummmm...I would say, send him you best tracks man! You got to treat every opportunity like your last one man...always give out the best you can do and Karma will come back man....straight up....like mercury said get your copyright on and just do it! If anything else, just add vocal snippets with you name once in a while.....
