If i were u and i wanted a basic studio setup i would go for the digidesign m-box it comes with pro tools le it has a whole bunch of inputs, and outputs a mic pre-amp and it plugs into your computer via usb, and also has great editing and mastering tools as well as sequencing capabilities. its real affordable as well

Hey,

What do you have already?

Nick

PS: If you're the Champ, shouldn't your music already sound 'pro'?

yea the m box is good but it doesn t have a whole bunch of inputs and out puts in only has 2 mic/line inputs which is good for hiphop. The Mbox is 500 just for the mbox which includes the software protools le, and has a nice preamp, its a good investment do you have pc or mac? But theres alot more things you can do for cheaper if you cant affors that right now go to this site they give tips of wha to buy etc. http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm

My producer partner and I have the M-Box and ProTools for recording vocals and mixing and it's great. Bought a Rode mic for approx. $500 and the sound is pure and there's a no latency.
