I have a bcd3000 controller that I scratch with using NI Traktor 3 ... Your not gonna turning out scratches like pros on wax or be able to perform specific type scratches on the fly but you just gotta practice and get use to it depending on the program you use too ... For basic scratching and mixing the bcd3000 does the job for me to dj mix projects I get paid to do

I can't seem to get my iCue working with Traktor, is it compatible do you know? And thanks for the advice too.

Your gonna have to find a midi map template for it in the form of a .tk (.tks) file if I remember correctly.
Had to search the net for one for the BCD3000 as well it was kind of a pain ... Or you can go 1 by 1 and
map each thing individually to the controller which is even more of pain ... Especially getting the scratching
to work right by mapping on your own. Doesn't the icue come with its own software though ? Actually
a special version of Virtual DJ ?

No prob man

Yeah I've got VDJ, I'll stick to that if I can't find a midi map. Thanks again for the advice, I'll go searching for a map then.

Word ... I was tryna stick with VDJ at first but couldnt get the BCD to work right with it
scratching so I ended up using the demo of traktor that came with it and then getting the full.

That's dope. I think the iCue is mainly intended for VDJ, you go into the preferences and it's already premapped there, whereas Traktor it ain't. Kinda sucks that you have to go to such lengths to vary which program you can use, but it's all part of the learning groove I guess.

How do you like the icue ? It was between that and the bcd3 I ended up going with the bcd cause I didnt wanna spend the extra at the time

I was gonna start a new thread about this, but since this one is about the same subject. I wanted to buy a Denon DN-MC3000 to replace my Numark Mixtrack. I want to be able to scratch and there was too much lagging on the Mixtrack...
