Just dont mix! I just started school today. a junior in college now! man, first day only and i know i wont have much time for music anymore. this sux! but it'll all pay off in the end.

but once it calms down, you will realise that beats is what it is all about, and coming running back into thier arms, hardcore style....

happened to me when i started uni, going out, getting pissed up, meeting new ppl, but the novelty does wear off, then music is your baby again....

Trust me 2 of my friends produce full time....forget all of that glitter and glamor you see surrounding cats like Kanye.......they sweat bullets and work their asses off to make projects I see their pain and the reality of this business.....but if their production skills were gone they have no other skills to fall back on whatsoever.......maybe playing the keys in church or some band possibly...but thats absolutely it outside of that......stay in School......if production is not your day job now you best get and occupation to support the habit and work your way into something big in the music industry.....for me music was always secondary because I started out playing in bands etc when I was in School and college but even then I knew that music could not really be a full time occupation because of the money musicians generally make.

i'm taking music theory right now in school to assist my production skills but i'm not m,ajoring in it. And Eample1 get your ass in school if you want, i was right were you were 2 years ago and got loans/grants. but p_1 take music theory while you can as a basic credit... it'd help you more than psycology

I just started back up to school as well. I'm majoring in English.

It's my safety net for this music thing.

I'm going full-time but I only go down to the campus two days. I have to organize my time like crazy, in order to keep up with my music and schoolwork.

im a junior in college psych major philosphy minor i signed up for this intro to electronic music class yesterday was the first day and i found out we will be learnin pro tools i was gitty as hell in the back of class

Well dude. Stay in school definetly.

I'm not in school, but I work. That takes time of you music aswell. So either way you look at it time will get lost inorder to survive.
But if you stay in school atleast you'll have a diploma/degree to fall back on.

i never said that school sucked. im definitely committed to finishing my education and be the first in my family to do so. but... i was just stating that because of school i would have no time to make beats. JUST MAKE BEATS. not the other stuff like connecting and all that other industry bullshit. but thanks for all the support though and yeah y'all should go to school too. this country makes you feel like shit and pay you shit when you got no degree. just my opinion.
